I've worked in bridal selling bridal dresses and managing boutiques for over a decade. Starting at more approachable stores and ending in the highest couture shops, I know my way around bridal gowns (and have seen it all.) Chatting with the brides about their upcoming weddings, I realized something was missing. Years ago, there were assigned duties for each member of the wedding party, but brides have realized they prefer their guests to enjoy the wedding, not work it. Wedding planners are busy dealing with vendors- so who is tending to the bride?
The answer is... us! I started performing these duties for my friends, and realized how necessary this service is . First of all- not just anyone should prep the gown. Each fabric requires a different steaming technique. But even after the bride is dressed, who handles the Bridal emergencies? Nipple covers? Bandaids? A button popping off? Who is there to help?
